A Cordless Area Light and Charger From DeWalt

1 MIN READ

DeWalt will be releasing a new portable area light this fall. It looks similarly to the Wobble Light, which Tim Uhler reviewed for us a while back. Unlike the Wobble Light, however, the DeWalt area light can run on 20V MAX or 60V MAX FlexVolt batteries as well. When plugged in, the light produces 7000 lumens on high. If the power goes out and a battery is installed, the light will stay on but drop down to 3500 lumens. The light also functions as a charger for either the 20V MAX or 60V MAX FlexVolt batteries. DeWalt reports that a 4Ah 20V MAX battery will run the light for 3 ½ hrs. on a single charge. You can daisy chain up to 4 lights, and if it’s plugged in you can use it to plug in a tool. It is BlueTooth enabled which means you can control the light and program it from DeWalt’s tool connect app. It will sell for $399 (bare tool) and $499 (one FlexVolt battery).
