Scribing Flooring

The focus of this article in JLC is on scribing wood flooring. And while I’ve personally never had to scribe it—usually the base and shoe give an inch of space, so even the wobbliest wall doesn’t bend so much I get a gap—I can see where there are situations where you might need to snug up pretty tight, and this scribing method is cool. I bet it works for kitchen filler strips and any other oddball fit-ups encountered during a remodel. It’s worth a few minutes to read and add to your bag of tricks.
