It may or may not come as a surprise to you that the construction industry is facing a labor shortage. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median age of construction workers is 42.8; young workers under 34 make up less than a third of the total workforce. Other reports say that new hires of younger construction workers continue to trend down.
