I hope you enjoy yours as much as Kerry McLean seems to enjoy every day of his life – riding around on a home-made monowheel vehicle.

The video below is not about tools, but is related to tools because you don’t build something like this without owning tools and knowing how to use them.

McLean built his first monowheel in the 1970s, but monowheels have been around for close to 150 years. Early models were pedaled or cranked. I particularly like the D’Harlingue Monowheel, a propeller-driven model from 1914. More odd and unusual monowheel vehicles can be found here.
