Failing an inspection is bad enough, but buildings are complicated and things happen. However, failing them for the number 1 reason in this article from 2016 has nothing to do with a complicated window flashing detail or forgotten foundation bolt. In fact, it has nothing to do with building anything at all. It’s not having the proper documentation on site for the inspector to review. Sometimes little things make a big difference.
