Custom home builder and contributing editor Robert Courtney takes a look at some of its features and gives his overall impressions of the Bosch GRL 500 HCK—a fully integrated rotary laser, which features a receiver that docks on the laser level itself and doubles as a remote. This remote/receiver controls and manages the laser, so you can adjust slope, calibrate, or put the unit in sleep mode from anywhere within 1,650 ft. from the laser level. According to the manufacturer’s specs, it is accurate within 1/16 in. @ 100 ft. Cost for the level, remote, charge pack, case, tripod, and rod is $1,200.
