The business press is full of marketing and sales “self help,” and JLC is not much in the habit of pushing out these sorts of cheerleading articles. But this one is different. What BUILDER columnist Jason Forrest gives us here doesn’t only apply to salespeople. It could apply to what we might look for in a carpenter or any new hire or even ourselves in whatever capacity we fill. Best of all, it recognizes that all-important X-Factor: “the moments of distinction that help you rise above and beyond your own personal leashes: actively supporting the achievements of others.”
