Two thumbs up for Stabila’s latest cross-line laser, says Tim Uhler. It’s a self-leveling laser that shoots a plumb dot up and down, and can project plumb and level lines. It uses a red laser and pulses, which allows Tim Uhler and his crew to use their PLS detector to dial-in and find level quickly. It also has a pendulum lock – a necessary feature that Uhler wouldn’t go without. Without a pendulum lock they break as soon as you drop them, and face it, dropping or falling is inevitable.
