A Love Affair with the Framing Square

It’s amazing what you can find if you poke around your own website. Earlier this week I stumbled across this 2005 gem from Don Dunkley.

I’ve known Dunkley for years; he wrote for JLC and Tools of the Trade before I did. I began reading his stories in the 90s – though admittedly, I understood little of it because he was a framer and I was a finish carpenter. In this story about the framing square, Dunkley traces the history of the tool and his history using it. They’re both pretty interesting.
