Bluetooth Hearing Protection

1 MIN READ

For 17 years, Tim Uhler’s company has made wearing hearing protection mandatory for its employees. He’s tried all kinds of different ear plugs and over-the-ear headsets, and most of the time prefers to use foam earplugs. In fact, looking at his Amazon order history, he noted recently his company has purchased more than 1,400 pairs of these ear plugs.

Recently, Uhler tried PlugFones, which combine hearing protection with the ability to play music (wired or wireless). Does it work to reduce tool noise? Does it make sense to do so by blasting your ears with music? His review is worth reading for its discussion on this last question alone, even if you don’t go with this particular model.
